Night Night Blessings by Amy Parker is a beautiful book. Appropriate for both boys and girls it is a wonderful bedtime read. It is written in the child’s voice as the day is reviewed with all its blessings. The illustration is beautiful. Even my five year old sister mentioned how pretty the book looked. She has enjoyed having this book read to her multiple nights. It is just the right length for bedtime and durable in the board book form. It is definitely for young children. The book has a strong message about how God blesses our daily lives and how we should be thankful in all things to Him. I have enjoyed reading it to my little sister. Hermie - A Common Caterpillar
I read Hermie- A Common Caterpillar by Max Lucado. I read it aloud to my five year old sister. We used the e-book form and enjoyed the beautiful pictures in this book. It is a well written book and the two main characters are Hermie and Wormy. The book is about a green caterpillar who thought he wasn’t special. In the book Hermie was jealous of other insects and asked God why he was so common. God told him He wasn’t finished with him yet. Hermie learns that everyone is special. I think the book taught my sister that everyone is special in their own way. My sister told me she liked the book. I would recommend this book to a parent to read to their child. Thunder Dog
I read Thunder Dog by Michael Hingson with Susy Flory. It is about a blind man, Michael Hingson, and his guide dog, Roselle, and how they escaped the twin towers during September 11, 2001. It also told about his life as a child and how he managed to get around since he was blind. He learned that when he walked past things it made a different noise as he stepped on the ground. He used that method to get around. He explains to the reader that blindness is not a disability its just something you have and have to deal with. He started using guide dogs when he was 14 and has used them ever since. I enjoyed this book because I love dogs and he told stories of his dogs. I also liked when they escaped the twin towers because he described it so well and I felt I could see what was happening in my mind. It was a fun book to read. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to learn more about September 11 and how blind people live. Don't Check Your Brains at the Door
Mom read this book from BookSneeze after she decided it was better for me to wait a year or two before I read this. Here is what she thought about it.
I read “Don’t Check Your Brains at the Door” by Josh McDowell and Bob Hostetler. The book addresses the many myths about Christianity, ones faith and the act of living life as a Christian, and Jesus himself. The chapters are short and include discussion/study questions at the end of each making this a useful book for devotion time, classes, or small group settings. The chapters are relevant for teens and deal with typical teen struggles, but also covered are more serious issues that Christians face as adults. I found the book enjoyable and thought provoking. While some of the chapters seemed to lack significant depth, I found the discussion questions for those chapters very well done. Perhaps in those instances the authors wanted a more personal interaction with the word for the reader. References sited and statements within the book made it clear that the authors did thorough research and study and helped me as a reader to be more confident in the assertions made. This makes an excellent jumping off point for someone who would like to read more about any one of the “myths.” I would definitely recommend this book to teens as an excellent tool to give thought to those myths and to prepare themselves for the assaults to their faith they will experience as they venture out into the world as individuals. It would also be an excellent family study for a family with teenage children. Discussion of these myths within a family of faith would be good preparation for confrontations in the world. The Secret Garden
Last night I finished reading The Secret Garden. At first I didn't want to read this book, but I am glad I did.
The Secret Garden is about a girl named Mary who comes from India to England to a large manor. She finds an old rusty key buried in the dirt and opens the door to the secret garden. The secret garden belonged to the wife of the manor. She died in the garden and her husband locked the gate and buried the key. Mary unlocked the door and from then on, she spent all her time in the secret garden with her friend Dickon. She found a disabled child crying in his bed and comforted him. Dickon brought all his tame creatures to the disabled boy, who's name was Colin. Eventually, Colin was told about the secret garden and wanted to be wheeled out. They all spent hours in the garden. I liked this book.

Birthday confusion
Hi it's me, my birthday is coming near and I can't decide what to theme it. I was thinking about Hank the cowdog (my favorite books) but then my mom said I could only listen to Hank the Cowdog in the day, not when I was going to sleep. And that meant I wasn't going to listen to it a lot.So I thought about my favorite animals. Now I can't decide between a dog , giraffe, or dolphin please post ideas for the best.

Katey likes it.
I read a book to Katey called Silly Sally. she liked it. I wanted to share it with you. here it is. Silly Sally went to town, walking backwards, upside down. On the way she met a pig, a silly pig, they danced a jig. Silly Sally went to town dancing backwards, upside down. On the way she met a dog, a silly dog, they played leapfrog. Silly Sally went to town, leaping backwards, upside down. On the way she met a loon, a silly loon, they sang a tune. Silly Sally went to town singing backwards, upside down.On the way she met a sheep, a silly sheep, they fell asleep. Now how did Sally get to town sleeping backwards upside down? Along came Neddy Buttercup walking forwards right side up.He tickled the pig who danced a jig. He tickled the dog that played leapfrog. He tickled the loon who sang a tune. he tickled the sheep that fell asleep. He tickled Sally who woke right up. She tickled Neddy Buttercup. And that"s how Sally got to town, walking backwards upside down.

Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin invented the lightening rod and he figured out that lightening was electricity. He got in some water in a pond and he let his kite tow him so his friends would be amazed. He formed a club called Junto. The club organized fire fighters and a free library. He was a printer.

just a story.
Here is a story I made up in a book that has words for me and I also have to fill in blanks. PET STORE When I walked into humungo Pete"s Pet Emporium, I knew it was A weird pet store. The first animal I saw was a pretty bird sitting on a perch at the front door. it took one look at me and let out a loud whistle. I wanted to run away, but A hippy hippo in a huge box grabbed me and pushed me away from the door. It let out a high -pitched bawk and started to quack like a crazy duck. Was this some kind of crazy dream? Every chihuahua in every super-locked cage was going nuts. So I asked the sales lady what was wrong. you know what she said? Quack?

A story I made up
I made the letters in this post pink because I thought Nicole would like to see pink on my blog. Okay, on with the post now. I have a book I put stories in I made up. i"m putting one on this post. more will be on the blog in the future. i"m changing the color of the letters now. here"s the story. this color is purple for Kathryn. The very silly baby (title) one day Mrs.ABCwachmadoodle had a baby boy. she named him, little Jimpoo ABCwachmadoodle.Jimpoo for short.Jimpoo turned out great for Mrs. ABCwachmadoodle. but he would be to crazy for us. he once ate his spaghetti very messily.the next night he ate his macaroni very neat.in august he put on a VERY heavy coat and drank hot chocolate.in December he put his swim trunks on and put some extra-cold water in their blow up pool and swam in it! (i"m using a different color now.) back to when Jimpoo was a baby.he had a "suprised face." they once went to a mexican restaurant and Jimpoo dipped his chip in his dads sauce and said, daddy's food is yummy. THE END

Fair Maiden Poops
A few medieval words: Thou fair maiden did dispose of #2 properly (that means she poops in the potty).Today Katey kept on telling Mom, Mommy I need to poo poo in the potty. Mommy said, yes, poo poo in the potty. PLEASE! It took a long time for her to get the poop out. she got off the potty multiple times. She finally got the poop out. She was proud of herself. Mommy was proud, too. Everyone was proud.
Today in school we learned about the pilgrims. The pilgrims met Squanto and he helped them grow crops and build houses. I did Spelling and I got one word wrong. The word was one I haven't seen yet. It was self-conscious. Mom read us Pioneers and Patriots. That is one of our favorite books.
